Brenda Rangithan
Brenda was called to the Malaysian bar in 2015. Brenda has been with the firm since the tender age of 22 as an intern and rose within the ranks as a pupil, an associate and a senior associate until she became a partner in 2022. Due to the longevity of time spent at the firm, Brenda was fortunate enough to work with and learn from various leading practitioners in different areas of law both within the firm and outside counsel.

Brenda has gained her expertise in civil and corporate & commercial litigation by appearing in numerous cases at all levels of the courts including several landmark cases at the appellate courts. Deciding to undertake a new challenge and expand her expertise further, Brenda began to venture into the construction industry and has handled several construction related matters including adjudications under the CIPAA 2012 and arbitrations under various arbitration rules.
In doing so, Brenda has learnt how to successfully manage complex circumstances and clients’ expectations which has assisted her in maintaining a good working relationship with clients. She thrives well under pressure and always tries to find the silver lining and the best path forward no matter the circumstances thrown at her. She has been commended for her keen and open outlook when approaching problems and for being able to be versatile and garner confidence from her clients.
Her current portfolio includes shareholder disputes, defamation, probate matters, issues relating to clubs and societies and other contentious civil actions including breach of contracts, disputes on final accounts and rectification of defects.
Out of the courtroom, Brenda enjoys a good book and diving into her passion for music.
